Residential Care

Jenkins Health Care Homes offer residential and nursing care to older people with varying levels of need. All of our residents have their own personal care plan, recognising their individual needs and wishes. 

 

Our residential care services cater for people needing support with daily living activities. These include washing, dressing, eating and mobility. Our trained and dedicated carers are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to meet the individual needs of our residents.

Our friendly, experienced and trained teams ensure the social, physical and emotional requirements of residents are met through a person-centred approach to care. We aim to enhance quality of life by enabling people in our care to make informed choices about their daily life and we actively engage with residents and relatives, encouraging regular feedback to ensure people in our care maximise their independence throughout their stay.

 

Nursing Care

Both The Hollins Care Centre and Cefn Lodge Care home provide a mixture of nursing and personal care. Our approach to care for our service users is based on the principle that each person is an individual with particular needs, likes and dislikes. 

For those people who have health care needs our homes with nursing care can provide medical input 24 hours a day in a comfortable environment. We actively encourage individuals and their families and carers to be involved in care planning, their environment and daily activities.

 

Jenkins Health Care homes offer peace of mind due to the support offered by a combination of Registered Nurses and trained carers. The homes are designed for individuals requiring nursing care as well as support with daily living activities. 

 

Respite Care

All of our homes offer short term care services (also known as respite) for people who require a short stay in a residential or nursing home.

 

At Jenkins Health Care we understand that people may need a break from caring for a loved one. Our short term care services allow carers the time to recharge their batteries while offering their loved ones a temporary retreat with the peace of mind of 24-hour care. We offer short term care breaks throughout the year. These are ideal for when you’re planning your next holiday, or if you just need a well-earned rest.

 

Our respite care allows those in need and their carers to have a break whilst ensuring quality care and support is provided in a comfortable environment. Respite can be available for people needing different levels of care, from residential to nursing care.

 

Continuing Health Care

We are able to take continuing health care residents in both The Hollins Care Centre and Cefn Lodge Care Home, you can ask for an assessment by health and social care professionals if you think you may be eligible to have some of your care paid for by the NHS our care  home managers can advise you about this.

 

NHS Continuing Healthcare is a package of on-going care arranged and funded by the NHS, when it has been assessed that the individual’s primary need is a health need. In care homes, it means that the NHS also makes a contract with the care home and pays the full fees for the person’s accommodation as well as their care.
